THE OPPORTUNITY
eBay Tax is looking for an international tax professional to join our Global Tax team.

As the Senior Manager, Global Tax you will have a meaningful role within the tax department. You will be part of a team of 4 professionals who are responsible for managing Global Taxes. You will collaborate closely with other members of the tax team, the legal, treasury and accounting teams, and external advisors when needed. The Senior Manager Global Tax reports into the Sr Director, Global Tax.

You will be a critical member of a world-class Global Tax team, collaborating closely with other members of the tax team and other relevant functions within eBay to drive improvements in how we provide tax support to our customers.

• In charge of tax affairs for eBay in Switzerland and Germany
• Support the tax accounting provision process for international operations under ASC 740 on a quarterly and annual basis
• Work in cross functional teams and explain tax technical matters in language that non tax people can understand
• Develop a broad network with a variety of partners across the eBay business and to represent tax in cross functional collaborations
• Support the international and U.S. compliance reporting process related to non-U.S. entities including reviewing of tax & statutory filings
• Review new business initiatives and scope the potential impact on existing tax processes and projects
• Research and detail direct tax issues, including coordination with external advisors and be able to present findings orally and in writing to tax and non-tax partners.
• Support interactions with tax authorities in eBay ROW countries

• CPA, Masters of Taxation or LLM in Tax are preferred
• Swiss Certified Tax Expert
• 8-10 years of international tax experience, working in either Big 4, prominent Law Firms or large multinationals
• Ability to complete multiple concurrent projects at the same time; react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick response; and have the ability to use judgement and prioritize different tasks
• Strong team player
• Sensitivity to US GAAP Tax accounting requirements
• Experience with US tax advantageous
• Experience with dealing with international tax audits and transfer pricing matters

• Continuous improvement mindset
• Interest in technology preferred
• Positive attitude, a real culture builder and morale booster
• Proficient English and German, other languages, in particular French would be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills
