We are hiring a Lifestyle Sales Counselor at our 5-star rated senior living community!

Sales experience in Senior Living strongly preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively responds to new inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Provides feedback to community leadership regarding information learned through the sales process that may impact strategies to grow occupancy.
  • Communicates with key influencers impacting the buying decision, to facilitate a timely commitment to the community.
  • Generates adequate presentations by effective prospecting. This will include phone outs, referral generation, use of e-mail, home visits, events, trial stays, etc.
  • Manages the sales process from initial inquiry to move in, by effectively promoting the community to the prospect. Facilitates the process by understanding needs and independently making recommendations based on key information provided.
  • Uses Direct Sales Performance Indicators (DSPI’s) to set goals and diagnose areas of strength and needed improvement.
  • Implements Extraordinary Impressions best practices in the marketing office and influences hospitality focused environment throughout the community.
  • Negotiates obstacles and issues by understanding client needs and collaborating with community management.
  • Staffs the office to meet business needs which may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
  • Keeps up to date on competition, including their strengths, weaknesses and identify ways to overcome any objections.
  • Participates in marketing events as directed by the Marketing and Sales Director.
  • Assumes responsibilities for personal work areas and maintaining areas in a presentable manner.
  • Ensures that all prospect inquiries are managed and that timely follow through is maintained in accordance with designated time frames.
  • Utilizes Salesforce effectively by promptly inputting data and uses the system to manage assigned lead base.
  • Meets and exceeds personal sales expectations.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Understands and articulately represents all documents related to residency, including Residency Agreement, Disclosure Statement, etc.

Required Skills or Knowledge:

  • Strong closing skills
  • A valid IL State Driver’s license is required
  • Proficient in various software, including all Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of customer service and ability in forming interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to function independently and in a team environment
  • Solid presentation skills (small and large group)
  • Must be able to problem solve and develop own methods to achieve desired results.

Preferred Skills or Knowledge :

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Experience in high-end Senior Living sales
