Candidates who have a New York State Professional Landscape Architect's License with current registration are eligible for provisional or a 55b/c appointment.
Candidates interested in provisional appointment will be required to take the New York State Department of Civil Service exam for this position. Please visit https://www.cs.ny.gov/jobseeker/ for additional information on state examinations.
- Coordinate with and support client agencies; be a subject matter expert on site related design and construction matters, materials, equipment, and installation methods.
- Knowledge and use of AutoCad and Bluebeam preferred.
- Supervise and coordinate staff and design consultants in the planning, preparation, and submission of contract documents, which include drawings, specifications, permitting forms and estimates for single and multi-trade projects; coordinate workloads of staff; perform employee and consultant evaluations; develop and review reports; prepare work orders for design consultants; coordinate and attend meetings; resolve conflicts as they arise. Provide in-house design when required; ensure that the contract documents are code compliant, comply with regulatory requirements, and conform to the OGS Design Standards and Procedures.
- Travel may be required.
- Support construction projects and coordinate with field staff; attend construction phase meetings; review submittals; respond to IB’s and RFI’s.
