About GameChanger:
We believe in the life-changing impact youth sports have on and off the field because they encourage leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and confidence—important life lessons that have the power to propel our youth toward meaningful futures. We recognize that without coaches, parents, and volunteers, organized youth sports could not exist. By building the first and best place to experience the youth sports moments important to our community, we are helping families elevate the next generation through youth sports.
So if you love sports and their community-building potential, or building cool products is your sport, GameChanger is the team for you. We are a remote-first, dynamic tech company based in New York City, and we are solving some of the biggest challenges in youth sports today.
The Position:
As a Senior Experiential Marketing Specialist, you will oversee the development of event marketing strategies through execution and measurement. You will focus on creating immersive brand experiences that engage new/existing customers, generate leads, and drive revenue and adoption across youth sports.
Reporting to the Experiential Marketing Manager, you will collaborate with key stakeholders within the Strategic Partnerships team, Product Marketing, Product Management, and Creative Services teams to create memorable and interactive experiences around key partnerships and national brand events to build and grow the GameChanger brand.
What You'll Do:
- Develop strategy by understanding the business objectives and crafting an outcomes-based plan with the associated budget that delivers revenue growth, brand affinity, and awareness of GameChanger’s products and services.
- Execution: Oversee all aspects of planning and delivery for branded and co-branded (partner) events and other marketing and commercial efforts. This includes developing scope, tactical activation, program development, logistics management, budget tracking and reporting, vendor management, staffing, and on-site coordination.
- Create immersive brand experiences by effectively communicating key features and value propositions targeted against specific customer profiles/segments or sports/markets. This will include indoor/outdoor activations and support full customer lifecycle campaigns (acquisition, adoption, up-sell, renewal).
- Build collaborative and effective internal and external relationships, ensuring common understanding and clarity for everyone in the planning and execution process. You will work closely with all stakeholders (e.g., marketing, partnerships and product) to ensure seamless integration and execution of experiential marketing initiatives.
- Own measurement and analysis of tracking and reporting of the effectiveness of experiential marketing and partner performance - including but not limited to setting up reporting, gathering feedback, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), and providing post-event reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and manage budgets for experiential marketing programs, ensuring they are delivered on-time, on-cost and deliver positive ROI and revenue gains. You will map activities to outcomes from a financial perspective, track all outcomes and ensure spend is pointed towards the most effective activities.
- Prioritization of all Partnership and Marketing Activation work relative to revenue generation and brand-building growth potential. Create the rubric to evaluate opportunities, create compelling business cases, and make recommendations on investments in Activation/Experiences.
- Adhere to the processes that enable the Activation team to scale effectively across multiple sports and target customers in B2C and B2B, ensuring on-time, on-cost, and on-quality delivery.
Who You Are:
- Agile and able to zoom into the details and keep the overarching strategy top of mind.
- You possess strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Data-driven and possess analytical skills to assist in measuring and demonstrating ROI.
- Experienced with handling positive external vendor communications
- 5+ years of experience in the event/experiential marketing space.
- You are organized with a project manager mindset.
- You excel as a cross-functional partner across the organization
- You are passionate about experiential marketing and have a strong desire to push boundaries and create exceptional brand experiences.
Perks:
- Retirement savings - 401K plan offered through Vanguard, with a company match.
- Disability leave - short-term disability and long-term disability.
- Work remotely or from our well-furnished, modern office in NYC.
- Generous parental leave.
- Life insurance - basic life, supplemental life, and dependent life.
- DICK'S Sporting Goods Teammate Discount.
- Technology stipend - $4,000 every 2 years to purchase new technology.
- Full health benefits - medical, dental, vision, prescription, FSA/HRA., and coverage for family/dependents.
- Unlimited vacation policy.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
The target salary range for this position is between $65,000 and $85,000. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
