Job Description

The Senior Director, Supply Chain is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for the Supply Chain team and is the liaison with Sales, Operations and Finance. Supports the Implementation and ensure compliance of Supply Chain processes and systems. Assist the Sales team on Supply Chain topics, runs customers meetings and manages supplier relationship. Ensure critical internal and external relationships are continually developing.


Essential Functions:

• Responsible for supply planning and plant scheduling for the entire network (30+ sites) including both co-manufacturing and repacking.

• Ensures process excellence for planning and scheduling in coordination with Operations leadership

• Responsible for leadership and continuous improvement of the S&OP and S&OE processes for Supply Chain in NA.

• Oversee all Supply Chain productivity metrics for attainment and production

• Leads integrated planning and execution for critical raw materials including cans

• Owns supply chain data management and visualization

• Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply of production and related material.

• Provide coaching and development to the Supply Chain team members. Pursue opportunities to improve use of information and enable productivity

• Serve as liaison for key customers

• Support new product introductions, product changes, and product discontinuations

• Effectively communicate with all internal and external stakeholders

• KPI:

• Forecast Accuracy (Cases/Pack Types/SKU on a monthly/weekly basis)

• Order Fill Rate by accounts on a monthly/weekly basis (to evolve to OTIF)

• Plan and Schedule Attainment/Internal Freight Transfer

• Aged inventory $/ FG Cases / Raw Material

• Oversees supply chain initiatives and process improvements

• Coordinates with other Supply Chain functional leadership to maintain OTIF at targeted levels


Education and Experience:

• BS/BA in Business Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline

• Experience in supply chain management of consumer products or grocery retail or a related product which is frequently promoted and has high velocity with low inventory levels

• Supply Chain experiences preferred; forecasting, inventory management, warehouse management and transportation/carrier management

• Experience in managing multi person supply chain team

• Experience in building effective collaborative relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers

• Understanding of various systems including order management, forecasting, adhoc database management

• Able to work with minimum supervision in a fast paced environment

• Commit to ongoing personal and professional development, including participation in training and educational programs as may be offered from time to time.

• Knowledge of Sales and Marketing processes, decision making criteria and measurements

• Knowledge of retail objectives related to warehouse and transportation operations landed margins, promotion objectives and store operations

• Familiarity with business finances such as costing


Required Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to hire, coach, develop, motivate and assess performance of a multi-person team

• Identify and anticipate internal and external supply chain initiative and requirements and implement in a timely manner

• Ability to lead supply chain team and assist total team through various multi-functional agenda to a successful reconciled position

• Ability to manage multiple priorities towards required timeframes

• Familiarity with decision support tools for supply chain management and execution

• Understanding of Human Resources management processes relative to hiring and development processes

• Excellent written and verbal skills to ensure that vision, direction and requirements are clearly and consistently communicated internally and externally

• Knowledge of ERP/DRP/MRP planning systems.

• Familiarity with technologies and concepts such as EDI, ASN's, RFID, VMI, etc.

• Familiarity with manufacturing operations, KPl's and systems (MES).
