Govig – #1 full-service recruiting firm, your access to the best opportunities available, is looking for a SENIOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECT MANAGER for a full-service real estate development firm based in Denver, Colorado.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY. The Senior Development Project Manager will oversee real estate development projects to ensure they are completed on time and on budget. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Organize and coordinate insurance needs while verifying compliance.
- Ensure that all of the above are carried out in line with Company Values.
- Manage the approval and permitting phase of the development process and ensure approvals are in line with company requirements. Maintain positive relationships with jurisdictions and planning commissions to ensure same.
- Coordinate multiple tasks and activities within a short period of time.
- Manage the site due diligence process in order to ensure that all development risks are identified and quantified.
- Communicate and manage all issues and risks affecting the projects.
- Monitor project details through the use of a project checklist customized for each individual project.
- Develop and manage budgets for development projects.
- Create project schedules for each project and update them regularly or as needed based on changes to the project.
- Communicate project status to project participants and stakeholders accurately and on time.
WHAT YOU NEED. To be successful in this role, the Senior Development Project Manager candidate will have:
- Ability to read and understand documents affecting real estate projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, balance priorities and deadlines
- Excellent analytical ability, strong communication and writing skills, effectively present information
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience must include due diligence research, budget preparation, working with city planning office to obtain entitlements and building permits and generating project budgets and schedules. Business analysis skills, with the ability to foresee issues, develop constructive solutions and provide decisive recommendations
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships across all levels.
- Experience managing professional consultant teams is advantageous.
- Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as Word and PowerPoint
- Must have 5+ years of commercial development experience.
