Job Description

:

We are seeking a Senior Oracle DBA to manage a large scale environment, supporting all environment builds, including design, capacity planning, cluster setup, performance tuning and ongoing monitoring. The ideal candidate must have strong technical, organization, and communication skills. The candidate is required to perform Oracle on and off premise(Cloud) database administration activities.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Expertise in Oracle RAC, backup and recovery strategies
  • Oracle database build using ASM / NSF on RAC/Non-RAC
  • Ability to interact with application owners/developers and/or technical staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Carry work mobile and provide 24X7 Support, On Call Schedule participation
  • Shell scripting experience
  • Expertise with Oracle database administration
  • Good Knowledge in OEM
  • Working knowledge in Cloud Support
  • Good Experience in Linux
  • Must document all work in ticketing system and manage tickets in their queue.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Ability to complete tasks and produce appropriate deliverables within project time schedules
  • Work effectively with others in a team environment
  • Experience with Exadata, ZFS, CommVault, and open-source databases
  • Must be organized, self-motivated and be able to participate in the knowledge transfer to other team members
  • Expertise in backup & recovery and migration using RMAN, Datapump, Snap and Clones

The Value You Deliver

  • Identify and participate in automation opportunities.
  • Participation in on call support
  • Regularly review space capacity and perform tasks to manage space usage through archiving or increasing disk space
  • Responsible for database monitoring, troubleshooting
  • Perform regular maintenance of the Oracle databases including backups, restores, data pump, archiving, and review of logs for errors or potential problems.
  • Participation in Disaster Recovery drills
  • Database creation, upgrade and patching.

The CAPE DBA team is responsible for the maintenance, support, and evolution of the Data Environments in Fidelity Investments. Our mission is to provide the highest quality database support, availability, and customer service, while continuously researching and delivering the latest features available in the database industry that align with our business partner goals.
