What You'll Do:

The Senior Data Analyst applies advanced coding, statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques to draw data-driven insights that inform complex business decisions. The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for owning end-to-end design, development, QA/testing, presentation, and transition to end-user stakeholders of specialized data analytics projects and supporting broader management and team development initiatives.

• Utilize advanced Python coding and MS-SQL query scripting to oversee advanced data migration projects and develop custom data models, algorithms, and machine learning technologies to code programs that help capture and organize relevant data.
• Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of multidisciplinary and cross-functional improvement of business units (Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Underwriting, Operations, Finance, and Accounting), identifying data trends and insights to solve significant or immediate business problems.
• Lead architectural discussions and own the development of business intelligence, data warehousing, and data engineering solutions, working closely with architecture, DevOps, and business intelligence teams to build, install, configure, and maintain database platforms based on architecture specifications and business requirements.
• Perform advanced ETL design, data mapping, and blending to cleanse and organize data in a way which addresses specific business intelligence needs and supports sophisticated analysis that improves back-end processes and/or end user experiences.
• Serve as project owner in leading BI and data analytics roadmap processes, maintaining project timelines, sprints, budgets, and risk mitigation of multifaceted, cross-functional, and executive level initiatives.
• Oversee the day-to-day tasks of data analysts to ensure team success and results, understanding overarching department project prioritization and timelines in order to provide mentorship, coaching, and in-depth code review to identify performance-related optimization opportunities, diving deep technically when necessary to develop the skills and technical acumen of junior team members.
• Deliver mid-level and executive level presentations of data findings and business solutions, communicating and presenting findings in a clear and intuitive manner for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work with mid-level and executive level stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities or leveraging company data to drive business solutions, performing proof of concept processes to evaluate the plausibility of potential solutions for the organization.
• Manage and supervise the end-to-end data project scope from design phase of business requirement gathering, available information analysis, architectural analysis, through to developmental phases, QA/testing, and transition to end users, ensuring successful user implementation and monitoring outcomes of implemented models for future iteration development.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Assist with monitoring of daily and weekly productivity and employee performance of junior team members in the Data Analytics department.
• Assist with the training and development of new employees in the Data Analytics department.

Education & Experience:

• At least 3 years of work experience in Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or Business Intelligence as an Analyst of BI Developer required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

• Advanced knowledge of ETL design, data mapping, blending, processing tools and MS-SQL server database systems and AWS cloud-based SQL Server (RDS) databases.
• Extensive knowledge of data modeling and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
• Superior written communication skills, evidenced by background in preparing comprehensive reports, user documentation, and executive summaries incorporating complex, highly technical information.
• Superior problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Superior attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Extensive knowledge of statistical analysis, data mining, predictive modeling, and machine learning methods, processes, and procedures.
• Advanced technical acumen in performing complex SQL queries, indexes, and CTE’s.
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, custom objects, workflows, triggers, and API integrations.
• Excellent experience with Sprint planning using Agile methodologies.
• Advanced technical acumen in MS-SQL, TSQL, and programming in Python.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you will be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job is $100,000.00 to $125,000.00. Individual salaries within those ranges takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to education; experience and training; licensure and certifications; knowledge and skill sets; and other business and organizational needs.
