TDA Research, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Senior Chemical Engineer with a passion for developing advanced technologies and translating them into real-world applications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Write reports, contribute to proposals and some managerial work to organize work for junior engineers/chemists
• Troubleshoot new chemical processes and pilot scale equipment
• Manage the design and fabrication of new processes, including preparing engineering design packages and cost estimates, working with consultants or subcontractors, managing budgets and project schedules
• Develop preliminary designs of new chemical process equipment such as reactors, heat exchangers and separation equipment
• Design and build first of a kind chemical and energy processes

Required Skills:

• Interpret catalytic rate and sorbent performance data
• An interest in expanding into new research fields
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
• Excellent writing and laboratory skills
• Prepare and interpret mass and energy balances to understand and evaluate the system’s performance.

Preferred Skills:

• Designing and optimizing adsorption cycles
• Adsorption Process Design and Modeling

Education and Experience:

• 1-5 years of experience post Ph.D. in advanced technology related R&D
• Experience in one or more of these areas: sorbent-based separations, catalytic processes, renewable and environmentally friendly materials, membrane separations
• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or closely related field

We are looking for exceptional engineers with the passion, creativity, and skills to pursue varied technical research in a multi-disciplinary environment. The research engineer will work under a Principal Investigator to build on current efforts and bring new research ideas to the group. Effective proposal and report writing are important aspects of the position.

A successful candidate must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers, have high written and spoken English language proficiency, and have excellent analytical skills. The research engineer will work closely with industrial and government customers and collaborators to meet program goals. This position requires personal initiative to accomplish technological innovation and creativity in support of new business development.

Pay Range is $116,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year, with the full benefits package.

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors as education, experience, skill set, and/or location.
