Job Description
Overview


The candidate will be responsible for meeting data requests from Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM) teams and other external teams. You would also be responsible for building robust and well-documented processes to perform quality checks on the data received from upstream systems. You will work closely with the Data Architects, Solution Architects & Data Modelers to ensure seamless flow of data from multiple sources to target systems.


  • This position can work remote from anywhere within the United States.


Responsibilities


A strong candidate will use operational skills to drive efficiency and speed, have expertise in building repeatable data engineering processes, use strong agile and project management skills to collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver on data requests.


Qualifications


Required


  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operational Support OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operational Support


Preferred


  • Functional knowledge of Payments (FED, SWIFT, RTP, ACH), Sanctions Compliance and overall Financial Crimes Risk Management is preferred (ACAMS/ACFCS certification is a plus)
  • 8+ years of experience performing UAT and data quality testing 
  • Extensive knowledge of data warehouse principles, design, and concepts.  
  • Support non-technical team members in understanding the underlying data to assist in making data informed, risk-based decisions
  • Identify inefficiencies, optimize processes and data flows, and make recommendations for process and system improvements 
  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques and high-volume ETL/ELT design.   
  • Hands-on knowledge of agile engineering practices and various data development technologies to rapidly develop creative and efficient data products 
  • 5+ years of experience in creating insightful dashboards through visualization of data  
  • Expert level experience working with Oracle SQL
  • Communicate across teams, both for ad-hoc problem solving, and check-ins/discussions with other initiatives 


Technical Skills  


  • Knowledge of Data Modeling, Data protection/compliance standards like GDPR
  • Advanced Oracle SQL skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (including macros)
  • Experience working with Tableau and Business Objects
