Senior Aws Engineer Jobs

Overview:

TISTA Science and Technology is looking for a AWS Senior Engineer who will be part of our AWS Platform Engineering team, helping us migrate, scale-up, multi-cloud, multi-account environment to support a diversity of engineering needs. Help us enable all the best practices of cloud native development: CI/CD, Kubernetes, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues with the cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct resource usage analysis, including tracking and trending of system resources on the cloud.
• Understand the current agency system architecture state; responsible for working with current team in the development and implementation of the migration activities.
• Infrastructure provisioning tool: Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Provide status updates to stakeholders and escalates issues when necessary.
• Hands on working knowledge around standard AWS services, such has EC2, Load balancing, Networking and Monitoring Health of these services using tools/processes.
• Hands on working knowledge on deploying AWS Cloud Formation scripts, SSL Certificates.
• Strong understanding and utilization of Kubernetes.
• Utilize the pre-migration checklist, evaluate, and utilize applications discovery and migration tools for effective cloud migration.
• Familiarity with Splunk and AWS CloudWatch.
• Ensure the agency System Architecture is well architected for the cloud, and ensure the agency enterprise cloud strategy and expectations for efficiency, availability, security, scalability, reliability, consistency, performance, and recovery is achieved.
• Serve as a technical associate for the platform engineering team for cloud design, migration solution, and implementation of all agency environments (lower to production) to the AWS cloud.
• Actively engage and communicate with multiple stakeholders throughout the migration effort.
• Responsible for migrating agency applications and services to a cloud hosted solution (AWS).
• Part of the process to setup and monitor application capability utilization, availability, setup process, and scripts for application and database logs monitoring using Splunk.

Qualifications:

• Aptitude for building systems using modern, scalable, resilient, cloud native architectures (Containers, Servlerless, etc).
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Cluster Management.
• Strong commitment to quality, documentation, and engineering excellence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar. Master’s a plus.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in hands on software development and/or platform engineering ideally in large-scale software projects
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools and implementing pipelines
• Proficient communication skills with an ability to reach both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Automation, Continuous Refactoring, Security etc.

• Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
• The pay for this position ranges from $87,075 to $161,250.
• The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
