Aws Devops Engineer Jobs

SUMMARY

The primary role of the AWS DevOps Engineer involves collaborating with a team who are responsible for automating design, coding, and deployment of infrastructure within an AWS environment. This position will be responsible for implementing solutions in the cloud as well as participating in technical research, development, & troubleshooting of various technical stacks within Welltower’s portfolio. Developing CI/CD pipelines, instrumenting code to report relevant metrics, and building safe and efficient build processes will also be part of the role of the DevOps Engineer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements.
• Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent.
• Mentoring and guiding the team members.
• Definition and deployment of systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring.
• Evaluation of modern technology alternatives and vendor products.
• Resolving problems across multiple domains and non-AWS platforms using system troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform.
• Knowledgeable in using monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic, etc.
• Management of AWS EKS and Kubernetes (K8s).
• Jira incident and project/task tracking.
• Ensure availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS production systems.
• Deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based systems.

TRAVEL

Minimal out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive AWS experience
• Development and testing skills
• Extensive CI/CD experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, IT or equivalent
• Familiarity with SQL and database operations
• GitHub/GitLab
• General networking knowledge
• Strong experience with using infrastructure as a code
• Web and ecommerce experience running on AWS
• Languages: js, Python, JavaScript
