This position is designated as work-from-home.

AWS DevOps Engineer who can engineer and support an Enterprise Grade Serverless Application. This position works with the Solution Architect to prototype and confirm that the architecture meets the functional, performance and security needs of the project. The position will be in a customer-facing role in development, who will function within a team and assist with operational support, and with the ability to thrive in an agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop an AWS Serverless Architecture and implement an AWS resource-based queue service.
• Understanding of modern development and operations processes and methodologies.
• In coordination with the Technical Leads and Scrum Master drives the application of the technology to the current business challenges.
• Experience developing code in at least one high-level programming language; building highly automated infrastructures.
• Provides operational support as needed to wildfire decision support systems.
• Ability to implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWS.
• Ability to define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS.
• Coordinates with Technical Leads on technology choices and pattern adoption.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be accustomed to working in a very fast paced team environment. Must be decisive, drive results through others and offer constructive criticism when appropriate.

• Ability to obtain Federal Government Position of Trust.
• Exhibit excellent problem solving and data analysis skills.
• Must be authorized to legally work in the United States.
• 3+ years of demonstrable AWS experience in: Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, EC2, EC2 Image Builder, ECS, CloudFormation, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, Systems Management Parameter Store, S3, IAM, CloudWatch Metrics, RDS, EventBridge, SDK, and Java are strongly preferred.
• Must pass a background investigation.
• Knowledge of and facility with application front-end development using JavaScript frameworks (specifically Angular). Experience with Ant, Maven, Postgres, and git.
• Hands-on experience working in a Linux environment, but Windows familiarity a plus.
• 3+ Years’ Experience with XaaS architecture, REST APIs, and containerization with Docker and ECS.
• Able to work at the highest technical level of all phases of application development and systems analysis.

• SCRUM/Agile Development experience including experience working on a distributed team.
• Experience using Swagger, Postman or similar tool for testing web services.
