Job Description

This key “hands-on” advisor role will support the delivery of a core and configurable solutions designed to help clients address a myriad of human capital challenges—whether it’s engaging the workforce, attracting and retaining top talent, ensuring meaningful and relevant Total Rewards programs, or staying abreast of the ever-growing employment regulations and paid sick/parental leave laws.

This role will support the refinement and evolution of core and configurable solutions in order to maximize ways we help existing clients and provide meaningful solutions that result in bringing additional clients to our firm. While this role will be provided the opportunity to work remotely, the selected candidate will need to reside near a WTW office as he/she will be expected to go into an office on occasion. Additionally, the selected candidate should have expertise with state specific employment laws and regulations, specifically for California.

HR Service Delivery.

  • Conducts and presents key findings related to HR best practices to clients who engage in our HR Tactical Gap Assessment.
  • Supports the development of intellectual capital, resources and templated, configurable project solutions addressing clients’ HR challenges.
  • Assists in the development/review of content within Employer Guides and tools on subjects including but not limited to FMLA, Inclusion and Diversity, Paid Time Off, Performance Management, Onboarding and Workplace Flexibility.
  • Ability to demo web-based client resources and effectively communicate HR Partner capabilities and other services across the organization.
  • Assists senior consultants in responding to client inquiries and needs for guidance/assistance in addressing day-to-day HR challenges. Advises client services teams and/or clients of services and solutions available to support clients HR needs and challenges.
  • Maintains first-hand knowledge about all of our products and services.
  • Assists in the delivery of client projects - prepares project plans, timelines, and development of deck/deliverable including reviewing client policies/processes, gathering and compiling benchmarking, etc. budgets and leads execution.
  • Conducts relevant research, data analysis, creates reports and other materials to support the practice and business.

Client Relationship Management

  • Knowledge of key HR disciplines including DE&I, employee attraction and retention, employee experience, talent acquisition and management, total rewards and training and development.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, et al) and appropriate application to employee relations matters
  • Establishes strong relationships with HR Partner senior consultants, EX and other WTW colleagues in order to meet client needs.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • BS/BA in Business Administration, HR or Finance with a minimum of five years of relevant experience preferably in a consulting environment (corporate experience is a plus), particularly with middle-market clients. PHR-CA, SHRM-CP or other HR certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and ability to consult clients on state specific laws including but not limited to those related to harassment, paid leave, salary inquiries, ban-the-box, etc. Specific, working knowledge on California specific employment laws required.
  • Strong analytical skills (both qualitative and quantitative). Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and web-based technology solutions.
  • Ability to develop new tools and templates that can be leveraged using Excel and other software.
  • Willingness to travel sporadically, with overnight travel (and willingness to utilize web-based technology as alternatives).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $80,000 - $100,000. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
