The Senior Analyst, Transportation Insights is responsible for creating and analyzing End to End Transportation Data within North America (NA) geo including shipping costs, and forecasting. This role is essential to ensuring that North America Transportation leverages analytics to optimize marketplace service and efficiency and supports the Digital First Supply Chain strategy. The Strategy Analyst partners closely with other NA Trade & Transportation (T&T) teams to provide visibility to key operational metrics, supports sourcing events and works closely with T&T capability development organization and cross-functional peers to ensure new capabilities align to Nikes core values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or combination of relevant education, experience, and training
• 3+ years of experience with Inbound or Outbound Transportation
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support strategic top-to-top discussions with both key internal and external partners (e.g strategic customers, carriers/vendors, and internal leadership).Qualifications
• Forecasting experience using a variety of methods to inform future-state planning
• Support capability development, analysis and implementation tracking to ensure benefits are robust and mutually exclusive across business segments
• Logistics financial acumen and can manage competing priorities with limited supervision
• Coordinate and lead the delivery of large analytics projects with multiple business partners on firm deadlines
• Collaborating with data analysts, data scientists, and other partners to understand their data requirements and provide them with reliable and well-structured data. This includes assisting in data exploration, data preparation, and data quality checks
• Maintain centralized Transportation-related data consumption and reporting layers
• 4+ years experience in Tableau required
• Drive analysis of financial and operational performance data (e.g. modeling, predictive analytics) to identify key insights and opportunities to improve the end-to-end transportation network (e.g. carrier strategy, mode allocation, port mixture, transportation flows, etc.)
• Provide detailed volume/spend analytics to support LSP team during recurring sourcing events and recommend vendor selection/allocation
• Develop detailed annual spend forecasting and provide as input to NA Finance team
• Descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics experience with complex, unrefined data using a variety of analytical and statistical toolsets, examples include SQL, Python, Alteryx, R, or other data manipulation/mining tools
• 5+ years of progressive analytics experience in the field of logistics
• 4+ years of experience in Python preferred
• Demonstrated experience simplifying complex analytics to explain difficult concepts and garner cross-functional buy in
• Excellent communication skills
• 5+ years of experience with SQL
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis to pinpoint variances, and recommend solutions to avoid variances in the future
• Excellent organizational skills
• Build and deploy quantitative research, casual inference and predictive models to understand and optimize drivers of growth and performance
• Build and deploy forecasts and report business key performance indicators (critical metrics) for senior leadership and partner with the team members to deliver relevant analysis and insights

PREFERRED:

• Ability to thrive in a fast paced and ambiguous environment
• Consulting or Finance experience
• Strong proficiency in Agile methodologies with a track record of successfully delivering projects in iterative and collaborative environments
• Alteryx experience
