Senior Accountant - Up To $120K

Job Overview: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations and supporting the Accounting leadership in driving financial performance across the business. The ideal candidate will have multiple years of GL accounting experience in the manufacturing industry, possess excellent analytical skills, and have a strong attention to detail. This role requires an individual who is proactive, a self-starter, and can work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with budget preparation and forecasting activities.
• Lead and mentor staff accountants, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial trends and performance.
• Manage the month-end close process and ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information.
• Maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulations.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Requirements:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and SAP ERP
• Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles and regulations including IFRS.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• 5-10 years of accounting experience, with prior public accounting experience highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Manufacturing industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
