Semi-Dump And/Or Lowboy Driver

General Contractor in heavy highway construction has an immediate need for a Semi-Dump and/or Lowboy driver. As part of the support team for our crews, drivers will be responsible for loading, hauling and delivering equipment and materials to and from our construction office yard and job sites in a timely and safe manner following all federal and state laws.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow directions of supervisor/dispatcher as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.
• Commitment to follow all safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment for themselves and coworkers, as well as the public.
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must keep truck in a clean and orderly condition.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
• Experience in Semi-Dump Trucks and/or Lowboy’s with knowledge of loading and unloading equipment and materials to and from construction projects and location.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to operate a manual transmission.
• Good with directions.
• Must have a valid class A CDL Driver’s license.
• Must pass a background check and pass a motor vehicle records check with no DUIs within past five years.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends, as well as overtime as required.
• All driver positions are contingent upon passing a background check and clean driving record.
• Must be able to successfully pass random drug/alcohol testing (DOT).
• Must have a minimum of 1-year experience in Semi-Dump and/or Lowboy operations.
