Summary
Security Officer Golden Gaming (Las Vegas, NV) Description:
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests, team members, the company and its property. Promotes outstanding guest relations.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the Corporate office, assigned routes, and other locations as assigned
• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
• Conduct security patrol sweeps within the view of the public to provide a noticeable deterrent
• Assigns keys from Key-Trac system to other associates
• Preserve the scene of criminal activity for investigators and outside agencies
• Guard all transfers of money and tokens, when necessary
• Provide protection for all team members and guests of the company and its assets
• Direct evacuations during emergencies and assist people as needed
• Respond to reports of guest or team member injury or illness
• Utilize Scan-Exec bar code scanning device to document patrol
• Interact with local law enforcement agencies, as required
• Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
Qualifications

• Previous security, law enforcement, military and/or EMT experience preferred
• Proven experience providing high level of guest service
• Experience accurately perceiving, soundly reasoning, and correctly judging situations, occurrences and circumstances; assessing and prioritizing situations and determining appropriate response
• Must be able to effectively use all computer systems applicable to the position
• Proven experience calmly working with upset patrons
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
• CPR/AED certification preferred
• Ability to professionally take leadership authority when necessary
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• Verify right to work in the United States
• Proven experience remaining calm in high stress and emergency situations
• At least 21 years of age

Physical Requirements

• Constant use of hearing and vision, walk, stand, distinguish between shades of color, and use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
• Occasionally squat, kneel, and sit
• Occasionally run throughout assigned working zone as situations dictate
• Use standard office equipment including a computer
• Ability to successfully perform in a timely manner all the physical movements associated with situations that may present to Security personnel; including movements necessary to successfully complete company-assigned training courses applicable to the essential duties of the position
• Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs. at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels
• Frequently walk, climb stairs, reach, bend, and twist
• Occasionally push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Uses a two-way radio or other communication devices in the course of work
• Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. above head
