Security Officer Jobs

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Security Officer provides security and protection for guests, employees and the property. Maintains crowd control, prevents theft and discourages altercations in a high- volume restaurant and nightclub atmosphere. Works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and always delivering superior Guest service.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Ability to work safely and prevent and promptly respond to personal injury in an adequate manner to ensure care and attention is provided to those injured or in need of care
• Commitment to the safety and attention of fellow co-workers and our guests, and the ability to demonstrate that commitment through prompt daily actions
• Provide a friendly, personal demeanor and a willingness to interact
• Addresses, responds to and/or answers all guest questions and furnishes detailed information on AREA15 facilities, activations, retail shops, and food and beverage locations.
• Promptly administers first aid and assists injured guests or employees. Ensures that proper authorities and providers of care are promptly contacted.
• Promotes and practices safety awareness and behavior, adhering to all safety standards.
• Remains continuously alert for any suspicious persons or activities and notifies proper authorities of the same. Reports any safety hazards immediately to Maintenance.
• Good working knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment
• Directs emergency vehicles when called upon.
• Follows the established procedures for escorting and assisting necessary employees
• Comply with all state and federal liquor laws
• Comply with all safety and health department procedures as well as Company and/or departmental policies/procedures
• Communicates professionally with all internal and external parties
• Possesses knowledge and use of all radio communication procedures and corresponding codes.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Commits self to AREA15 values, and acknowledges dedication to providing excellent guest service for our Guests and our internal team, at all times
• Reacts professionally and rationally in emergency and pressure situations. Restrains intoxicated, disorderly, or insubordinate guests or removes them from premises.
• Provides adequate security and protection for our guests, employees, theirs and company property. Upholds the law and order in the venue in conjunction with local law enforcement.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• 21+ years of age
• Possession of / or ability to possess a valid Nevada TAM certification (alcohol awareness) and LVMPD Sheriffs Card
• Hospitality experience preferred
• Work varied shifts to include weekends and holidays
• Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to AREA15 standards
