Job Duties

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
• Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and Google Suite
• Ability to follow agency policy and procedures.
• Ability to multitask, strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team with other VSDB staff members.
• Valid Virginia Driver’s License with driving record that reflects a sense of responsibility for highway and passenger safety.
• Experience in landscaping, gardening, or farming in either professional or internship role.

• Ability to tolerate various chemicals.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to tolerate various weather conditions.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions to include standing, sitting, reaching, lifting, walking, bending, and climbing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prefer experience working with and teaching students of varying ages, abilities and disabilities.
• Prefer basic carpentry and small equipment maintenance skills.
• Prefer knowledge of organic practices.
