The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling all surgeries. Arranges pre-op testing for patients, obtains consent forms, and receives the necessary authorization prior to surgery. Walk each patient through instructions about what must be done prior to surgery, what time to arrive, and advise to arrange transportation home. Your exceptional skills

• Maintains excellent customer service with a sense of urgency.
• Organized and very detail oriented.
• Arrange the physician’s schedule around their surgeries. Your exceptional qualifications
• Complete FMLA paperwork.
• Strong computer and telephone skills.
• Ability to work with peers in team situations.
• Assist with arranging meetings for physicians.
• Work with physicians on preferences for surgeries and pre-op testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High school diploma or GED equivalent. (Required)
Two years of surgery scheduling experience. (Required)
Medical terminology and knowledge of healthcare industry.
ICD9 coding and insurance experience preferred. Your life with Community
