Job Description

Position Summary

SAP Basis Admin is part of our SAP Basis team covering implementations, upgrades, migrations, hardware sizing and landscape design on various combinations of OS & DB platforms including SAP HANA. The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for maintenance and support of our SAP system. Working with many different departments to keep system functions running smooth daily. Duties within this job may be essential services outside of normal business hours. Individuals in this job are required to answer such calls.


Summary of Roles and Responsibilities

  • Documenting and updating of the existing SAP environment and work with IT and business units to modernize the SAP environment.
  • Monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment.
  • Advising the departments on in-house projects in relation to SAP basis/interfaces relevant topics
  • Scheduling and executing the SAP transport system.
  • System, database and interface monitoring, performance analysis and optimization with a focus on SAP ASE and HANA databases as well as PI/PO & BTP components
  • Develop and maintain system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces.
  • Planning and implementation of SAP release changes, installations of SAP systems, system/client copies, etc.
  • Maintenance and further development of the company-wide SAP (ECC 6.0)
  • Project related tasks.
  • Basic landscape including SAP Solution Manager
  • Provide status reports for projects to management.
  • Importing support packages and monitoring the correction and transport.
  • Responsibility for software logistics and operational release processes.
  • Design and implement an optimal SAP configuration to maximize system performance and availability.
  • Manage SAP users, authorizations, and profiles.
  • Preparation of a successful S/4 HANA system migration

Major Opportunity:

Coordinating cross-functionally with key internal stakeholders to efficiently and accurately identify and resolve transactional systematic discrepancies to ensure a positive customer experience.

Minimum Education, Experience, and KSA's:

BA in Computer Science

Strong training as an IT specialist for system integration or a comparable qualification

At least 4-6 years of SAP Basis Experience (Basis Administration Certification is a plus)

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Detail oriented
  • Sound knowledge of the technical monitoring of SAP basis systems
  • Knowledge in the field of virtualization & VM-Ware
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP ECC, Salesforce, among other programs.
  • Understanding of basic financial concepts
  • Communication both written and verbal across multiple channels
  • Structured way of working and the ability to find sustainable solutions
  • Follow-up
  • Thorough understanding of content management systems
  • Well-founded knowledge of the administration of SAP basis systems
  • Extensive operating (Windows) and database knowledge (SAP ASE and HANA)
  • Investigative
  • Successfully completed training with a relevant background
  • Problem Solving Skills
