Job Description

Position Description:

The Sales Support Assistant assists the sales team with the creation of quotes and sales proposals. A successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, good attention to detail, and the ability to learn new products, technology concepts, and software. The SSA will compile information from sales engineers, technical consultants, software, cloud portals, and clients to create sales proposals in Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks, or other software for the sales team to present to customers.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Learn multiple vendors, vendor pricing sheets, and vendor requirements for product quoting and pricing.
  • Create, modify, and manipulate Microsoft Word documents at an intermediate level.
  • Track and document time spent building quotes and proposals and input into software.
  • Create and manipulate Excel spreadsheets and formulas at an intermediate level.
  • Compile information from different sources into quoting and estimating software.
  • Proofread and correct documents for grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Update and operate Customer Relationship Management Software.
  • Export data from software portals and manipulate information in Microsoft Excel.
  • Organize and prioritize multiple competing priorities and requests.
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing and specifications.
  • Learn complex product and technology concepts.
