Only 10% of Americans get their daily minimum requirement of greens. 8Greens is on a mission to get this number higher by helping get greens into people’s busy lives. We are increasing awareness and consumption of the vital nutrients that come from greens by making delicious products in simple and convenient formats. Founder and health and wellness expert Dawn Russell develops products that fit real-life routines helping to make nutrition more accessible and the consumption of greens easy, delicious, and affordable.


8Greens has been quickly expanding distribution and is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to support our growth with distributors like UNFI and KeHE. The Sales Manager will play a critical role in growing our distribution through the distributor network. This person will oversee the relationship between our brokers and the distributors with the goal of growing our existing accounts and securing new accounts. Reporting to the VP of Sales, this person is responsible for all levels of account management including forecasting, coordinating order fulfillment, managing spend, and ensuring sales targets are met for this channel. As the day-to-day interface between the clients and the rest of the 8Greens team, this position will be part of a highly collaborative and effective cross-functional team that includes Sales, Marketing, Planning, Operations, Customer Service, Finance and Product Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop forecasts with the clients and coordinate with demand and supply planning to ensure that product requirements are met accurately and on time
  • Perform project management of all client inquiries, invoicing or other accounting issues, product quality concerns, and other customer initiatives
  • Oversee new product launches including presenting to established accounts and managing any set-up paperwork
  • Work closely with the internal marketing team to deliver any account asset and copy needs
  • Design and implement strategies across retail channels to grow distribution
  • Develop strong relationships with existing and new customers
  • Prepare and analyze sales data/metrics to make timely, informed decisions and present to corporate leaders
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending relevant seminars, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; joining professional associations and/or participating in local business community activities
  • Plan, organize, implement and manage promotional and trade spend initiatives
  • Be responsible for the profitability of the customer through P&L management
  • Own and deliver sales and profit targets
  • Represent 8Greens at annual tradeshows
  • Provide all clients (retailers, brokers and distributors) with outstanding account management, adding consistent value and effectively executing against their business needs & serving as day-to-day point of contact
  • Educate and train the broker sales teams through regularly scheduled sales meetings


Requirements:

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, growing company with the ability to adapt to change quickly
  • 5+ years of Sales Experience, preferably in Supplements or Food
  • Strong strategic planning, decision making, time management and organization skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Clear, effective, and concise communication skills
  • Understands financial reporting and able to analyze business needs and manage a budget
  • Previous UNFI or KeHE experience
  • Ability to deliver results while improving and streamlining processes to be more efficient and profitable
  • Strong Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to identify issues and provide recommendations
  • Strong knowledge of grocer, specialty, and natural channels
