Job Description

The purpose of this position is to be a Sales Coordinator for Mission Solutions to support their three business lines (Nuclear and Civil, Defense and Intelligence) in winning new work, promoting accomplishments by aligning with company strategies and objectives, creating compelling value propositions, developing effective communications materials, and implementing good business administration and marketing practices. This position collaborates with corporate marketing functions and Fluor business lines to develop marketing strategies and incorporate into sales and marketing materials. This position typically reports to the SVP of Sales and supports all sales and capture efforts. These include setting up Bid No Bids, Commercial Reviews, Corporate presentations for the Fluor Management Team, understanding Risk and Corporate approval requirements, and input requirements for Connect To Win system. The sales coordinator will learn basics on clients, markets, finance, proposals, industry conferences, financial reporting and terms & conditions while supporting the business line. • Assist in the implementation of management guidelines regarding sales strategy, bidding decisions, office decisions, approval of commercial terms, and approval of contractual terms and conditions
  • Work with business lines and their sales leadership to measure the results of implementing business development efforts
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Support proposal teams to develop customized responses to client Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposals (RFP) that enable Fluor to be the successful bidder; support business line resource needs through worksharing, cross-selling, resource allocation, personnel training, and mentoring
  • Assist business line team members to create and implement communication and/or marketing plans to ensure effective promotion of Fluor’s integrated solutions in the marketplace
  • Keep management advised of significant activities in regard to ongoing projects and current proposals
  • Work with business line team members to understand the current situation (market position, competition, current capabilities, culture, and client drivers) to effectively develop content to promote Fluor’s integrated solutions differentiators

Basic Job Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to sixteen (16) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

Other Job Requirements

US Citizenship is a REQUIREMENT for this position.
Work Authorization is insufficient.
Ability to obtain and keep Security Clearance, if required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Twelve (12) years of experience in positions that provide a broad view of business; of those, five (5) years experience in functionally specific training (e.g., long-term vision, strategic thinking, communications, negotiations, team building, personal computing technologies, Internet)
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in business, marketing, or related discipline; Master of Business Administration (MBA) or global equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge of functional practices and methodologies is desirable, but can be acquired through related job experience or external and internal education opportunities
  • Proficient computer and software skills and knowledge to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet, electronic presentation programs, Lotus Notes, and other marketing-related applications

Salary Range

96,500 to 174,500
