Sales And Marketing Assistant

Chronicle Books is searching for a Sales & Marketing Assistant to provide efficient day-to-day project support in our Sales & Marketing Enablement department. The person in this role will adeptly manage and meet competing deadlines, adjust priorities when the situation requires it and provide exceptional project support.
The Sales and Marketing Assistant will liaise with Production/Design/Editorial departments, create mockups and other physical sales materials, field requests, and manage sales material stock. They will also generate digital sales materials, distribute advance copies of our products, assist in maintaining our electronic catalogs, and organize our samples book room and sales materials. Finally, they will create and distribute eAsset information emails, work with our Event Coordinator to ensure shipping of materials to tradeshows, provide on-air support for our bi-annual frontlist launch webinar, and engage in daily communication with relevant inter-company contacts.
Requirements
Applicants will need a minimum of 1-2 years in an equivalent role, with customer service and/or retail experience preferred. Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills and a sharp attention to detail will also be crucial to this role. Advanced Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills are strongly preferred and prior experience with Adobe Creative Suite is also a plus. A successful candidate will also have the ability to learn new systems, exhibit time-management skills, and will come with a desire to work in a high-performing, collaborative, team environment.
Employees at Chronicle Books follow a flexible hybrid schedule of working a minimum of 2 days per week and up to 4 days per week in our San Francisco office, depending on project and business needs. Hiring Salary Range: $47,500 - $54,625. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the expected salary for this position and will be determined by factors including but not limited to the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible for our profit share plan.
