Job Description
East Coast Risk Management, a Division of Keystone Insurers Group, is a consulting firm specializing in employer support for Safety, Human Resources, and Workers' Compensation Claim Management. We currently have an opportunity for a Safety Coordinator to work exclusively with one of our clients on a full-time basis in Latrobe, PA
Successful candidates will have prior experience in a manufacturing environment working to build a safety culture and be comfortable in the direction and implementation of a full-scale safety program. Candidates will also need to recognize the importance of quality service and be able to build long-term client relationships. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for contractor safety compliance, including the management of ISNetworld and other Third-Party Sites.
  • Development of company-specific JSA's or HSA's
  • Observes and coach supervisors to lead by following all the safety guidelines
  • Conduct employee and management training and development on a variety of safety topics
  • Conduct routine industrial hygiene monitoring and sampling
  • Conducts routine facility inspections and writes reports with follow-up items and action plans.
  • Lead and facilitate monthly safety committee meetings
  • Ensures the company is compliant with OSHA and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations for PA and OH.
  • Collaborates with HR to maintain the desired culture
  • Responsible for internal recordkeeping including OSHA recordkeeping and incident reports, internal incident log, near miss and accident reports, workers compensation claims, training reports, behavioral observation reports, and safety committee minutes and reports.
  • Make recommendations for new policy and program development, and oversee the hands-on implementation

This position requires a bachelor's degree in safety or a related field with 1-3 years of experience. Occasional travel is required to other client sites.
