Job Description

Trucking Times, Inc. one of the most respected privately owned trucking companies in the US and is currently seeking a Safety and Compliance Coordinator to join our team! This position is based in our corporate office located in Troy, MO. The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for safety compliance, loss prevention, safety training and ensures a positive safety attitude and environment exists throughout the company

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Problem-solve issues with drivers and customers
  • Knowledge with Samsara Systems is preferred
  • Filing and general administrative tasks
  • Coordinate data for DOT audits and investigations
  • Assist and support in discharging the company drug and alcohol program
  • Support with incident reporting and investigation; which includes but is not limited to accidents, near misses, property damage, and DOT reportable events
  • Employee safety-related training
  • Safety Compliance including reporting HOS, People Net, and driver camera violations
  • Assist with compliance of the driver’s hours of service regulations. Including reviewing of logs, and log corrections as well as informing drivers of disciplinary actions as a result of violations

Requirements

  • Candidates must possess a CAN DO attitude, have the ability to multi-task and have above average computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task
  • Work Experience & Education Requirements
  • Ability to speak/train both small and large groups of employees
  • DOT compliance training will be provided; however, candidates with DOT Safety experience is a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees and the general public
  • Proven ability to present to both small and large audiences
  • Knowledge of business office operations, filing, and administrative operations
  • Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and other regulatory compliance agencies is a plus
  • Must maintain confidentiality in daily operations
