New Graduate Nurse Residency Program-Across Florida

We are currently seeking recent nursing school graduates for our New Grad Training Program across our Florida hospitals. This yearlong program provides an extensive clinical orientation and professional development curriculum, culminating in an evidence-based capstone project. The program is designed to provide you with the necessary tools to excel in today's hospital environment.

Program Highlights

• Simulation Training: Apply your nursing skills in a simulated environment, further reinforcing the concepts learned during didactic training. Accommodation and mileage reimbursement provided during this training period.
• Hands-On Training: You will undergo preceptorship training with a designated preceptor within the hospital's nursing unit.
• Didactic Training: Participate in a classroom setting introducing nurses to our core curriculum and hospital initiatives.

Our Training Covers Multiple Specialty Areas, Including

• Med-Surg
• Inpatient Rehab units
• Ortho/Neuro
• ICU
• Stepdown
• PCU
• Tele

We will be initiating multiple cohorts throughout 2023. The initial part of the program typically spans Monday through Friday, 8-hours a day, 40 hours a week. The preceptorship portion consists of three 12-hour shifts per week and every other weekend at the hospital. Full attendance throughout the program is mandatory.

Upon successful completion of the program, certifications will be awarded in BLS, ACLS, CPI, EKG, NIH Stroke Scale, and Meditech Modules. Program acceptance requires a minimum two-year, full-time commitment to the hospital.

Qualifications

• Recent graduation from an accredited nursing school within the past 12 months.
• Self-motivated individuals with strong communication skills are ideal candidates.
• Previous medical or service industry experience is highly desirable, but not required.
• No more than 6 months of RN experience.
• Current FL RN license required (will consider if obtained within 90 days of start) or valid compact licensure.
