Meadowview of Davenport,a brand-new senior community under construction in Davenport, Iowa, has a wonderful opportunity for an experiencedRN, Director of Health Services (DHS)to join our team. Meadowview of Davenport will open in early 2023 and will have 106-units for residents including independent living, assisted living, and memory care options.

As the Director of Health Services, you will lead the clinical team in providing excellent care our residents. You will be responsible for organizing, directing, implementing and evaluating the clinical program to deliver exceptional resident care and services in line with regulations and clinical best practices. This position plays an essential role in bringing to life the mission and values of Cassia to guide the clinical team to provide the highest level of customer excellence to our residents.

This is aFull-Time, benefit eligible position.

RN Director of Health Services (DHS) responsibilities:

• Take fiscal responsibility for setting and staying within budget for nursing and care-related areas.
• Provides health and medication training to all nursing personnel as well as continued education and documents teaching and training assuring compliance with current regulations.
• Ensure residents’ rights are protected and advocates on their behalf.
• Oversees ordering, set up and administration of all medications.
• Complete initial assessment of potential residents.
• Monitors and maintains resident charts and progress notes.
• Oversees and conducts supervision of nursing staff including employee guidance, coaching and discipline to maintain high standard of care and positive work environment.
• Fulfills staffing requirements for nursing department including hiring, evaluation and scheduling.
• Create and implement individual Care Plan for each resident.
• Oversee nursing care for Assisted Livingresidents.
• Communicate with healthcare providers, county personnel and family regarding residents’ current needs and health status.
• Manage the facility in the absence ofcertified designees.

RN Director of Health Services (DHS) skills and requirements:

• Strong leadership skills.
• Must hold and maintain a current license to practice asRegistered Nurse (RN)inIowa.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with residents, family members and staff while promoting a positive atmosphere in the nursing department.
• Experience in AL preferred.
• Experience supervising staff preferred.
