Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Document patient calls within the EHR and coordinates with the clinical team to resolve patient questions.
• Provide overall support of the clinical team.
• Answer and triage inbound calls from patients regarding prescriptions, care plan questions, wound care questions, and other clinical questions for their medical provider. This position is primarily phone-based.
• Refill medications at the direction of a medical provider, send orders, and relay patient instructions and pathology to patients.
• Schedule patients for follow up appointments.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written skills required. Customer service experience preferred.
• CMA or RMA preferred
• Proven track record of working well on teams and delivering excellence.
• At least 2+ years’ experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting working with electronic health records. NextGen EHR experience is a plus.
• Alignment with the values and mission of Vanguard Skin Specialists.

Schedule:

This is a full-time position with business hours Monday to Friday. The position is based in our administrative headquarters office in Colorado Springs. Following the training period, strong performers have the option to work a hybrid-remote schedule.

Reviews:

Vanguard Skin Specialists believes in providing regular feedback and encouraging professional development. Your first informal HR check-in will be approximately 90 days from your date of hire, after that you will be included in the next of our upcoming semi-annual spring or fall review cycles for your formal reviews. This will be your first compensation review, and thereafter your compensation reviews will occur in the fall cycle annually.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation is $22 per hour with eligibility for overtime. The practice covers a portion of the premium for medical benefits and offers vision, dental, and 401K for full-time team members. The position also comes with paid time off, bereavement pay, paid maternity & bonding leave, and employee discounts on products and aesthetic services.

Physical Working Conditions:

• Be able to communicate accurately, effectively and frequently
• Operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, printer, copier, scanner, or fax
• Can identify color on the computer and software used
• Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for up to 10 hours
