This role will support a global team of Risk Managers who support the Bad Actor Disincentives (BAD) organization. You will work closely with internal and external litigation teams to hold bad actors accountable for the harm they cause our Customers, Selling Partners, and our store.
In this role, you will investigate potential risk areas to find data-based evidence to inform decisions. Your evidence will support legal proceedings that counteract deceptive, fraudulent, and illegal activity.

Key job responsibilities
o Performing analysis of data from a variety of sources to identify possible risk indicators.
o Deep diving cases and digging up the evidence our litigation teams need to hold bad actors accountable.
o Liaising with internal and external partners/stakeholders to consistently deliver efficient and accurate results.
o Scrutinizing existing policy, process, and technology gaps and identifying solutions to close them.
About the team
The BAD team is a unique organization that obsesses over bad actors to identify and compound their pain points in ways that have no (or minimal) impact to Customers and Selling Partners. We protect the store by implementing tactical and strategic abuse countermeasures.
Our immediate team's fundamental goal is to provide legal partners with compelling evidence so we win litigations against bad actors. Our long-term vision is to improve policies and processes to a degree that will reduce, and hopefully eliminate, legal liabilities from bad actors in our store.
This team is fully remote, so other remote locations may be considered for competitive candidates.
o BA/BS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Operations Research, Math, Finance, or related data driven discipline;
o 1-3 years of experience working in industries such as fraud, compliance, law, or related fields;
o Familiarity with multiple analytic tools, databases, and techniques;
o Experience serving as a technical expert and liaison to legal personnel and/or a willingness to present testimony against bad actors in legal proceedings.

The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market.
