The RRI laboratory is hiring a 1-year contractor! The RRI is at the center of our clinical trials and advanced data analytics. The lab employs sophisticated tools and methodologies to dig deeper, looking at questions and factors critical to the development of cutting-edge technologies, new medical devices, and innovative therapeutic methods. Responsibilities

• Follows general instructions and standard operating procedures, completes day-to-day routine work in the laboratory.
• Participates in the work of colleagues from other disciplines and interacts with senior scientists, clinicians, research coordinators, data analysts, mathematicians, engineers, and statisticians.
• Assists with managing samples of the RRI's biobank containing thousands of biospecimen.
• Independently performs various laboratory tests and operates laboratory equipment including liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, hematology analyzer, biochemistry analyzer, liquid handler, flow cytometer, plate reader, real time polymerase chain reaction.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• This position requires the candidate to be on site full-time. Regular working hours are 9-5pm. The office is located at East 62nd street of the New York City.
• Strong communication and organizational skills. Excellent in scientific writing.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Have good time management.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
• The position requires a Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or related field, or a Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 2 years general laboratory experience in molecular biology, chemistry, or clinical lab environment.

Skills

• Experience with automated liquid handling equipment is preferred.
• Hands-on operating and troubleshooting experience with liquid chromatography mass spectrometry of Agilent Ultivo and Q-TOF instruments is highly desirable.
• Experience with authoring SOPs, assay procedures and reports are preferred.
• Experience with laboratory management systems, such as Agilent SLIMS, is preferred.
