Posting Summary


Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Manager for the Department of Pharmaceutics in the areas of biochemistry and cell and molecular biology. The successful applicant will join a well-established, diverse, and collaborative research team, and have access to the resources of a major research university. She/he will be responsible for the in vitro characterization of cells and antibodies using biochemical techniques for cancer therapy.


Among the key duties of this position are the following:


  • Responsible for lab management.
  • Responsible for lab bookkeeping.
  • Conducts experiments (Biochemical and cellular methods).

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Requires at least a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, organization, coordination, facilitation, bookkeeping and/or report writing.
  • Also requires a minimum of five (5) years of research experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience.


Certifications/Licenses


Preferred Qualifications
  • The candidate is preferred to have a PhD in Biochemistry.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Fluency in speaking and writing English.
  • Candidate must have a desire to learn new techniques and be able to work independently.
  • The applicant is expected to multitask and interested in contributing to several other ongoing projects in the lab.
  • Experience with biochemical techniques such as SDS - PAGE , ELISA , Westernblot, etc.
