Conduct telephone interviews with randomly selected respondents for the Minnesota Department of Public Health Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) study. Requirements include excellent communication skills, reliability/punctuality, and a clear speaking voice for telephone communication. The compensation for this position is $10.59-$11.50 per hour.

Responsibilities Of a Research Interviewer
- Other duties as assigned by manager
- Exercise courtesy and professionalism to all respondents
- Strong computer, interpersonal, and typing skills
- Follow project specifications
- Conduct telephonic, computer-based interviews with a high degree of accuracy and integrity
- Maintain confidentiality of all collected data
- Remote interviewers must have home wireless internet Download speeds of 50 Mbps or better
- Experience in a call center
- Remote interviewers must have a private space to conduct interviews
- Exceptional reading, verbal, and listening skills with the ability to multi-task
- Good working knowledge of computers
- Possesses a complete understanding of the general requirements of CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) Data collection practices
- Ability to speak with respondents using a headset and a keyboard or mouse to record responses
- H.S. Diploma plus 4 years of experience
- Ability to correctly pronounce medical terminology
- Positive and self-motivated demeanor
- Strong typing skills
- Monday - Friday: Shifts starting as early as 4:00 PM and ending as late as 10:00 PM (ET)
- Typical Available shifts windows are:
- Schedule:
- Interviewers will select their own schedule work a minimum of 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours a week
- All training is paid
- Saturday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (ET)
- Sunday: 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM (ET)
- Interviewers will be required to work at least 1 weekend shift (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday) each week

- Ability to read, speak, and write in English clearly
- Ability to sit for hours calling and interviewing respondents
- Ability to speak clearly and document responses accurately using electronic systems to be made available to you
