Job Description

Overview /Objective
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Media Services, the Research Assistant will be expected to fulfill research/footage requests from all 32 NFL teams, Broadcast Partners, Licensing Clients, NFL Network, NFL.com & other NFL entities in a timely manner while working within the NFL Films technical environment. Responsibilities also include fulfilling contractual obligations on a daily & weekly basis within a set deadline while utilizing one of the largest sports libraries. Technical skills with non-linear based editing & cataloging software required.
Responsibilities
  • Prioritize work from clients accordingly to relevance of deadlines
  • Ensure all deliveries from Media Services lies within company policy
  • Understand a file-based distribution system for NFL Films cameras to teams & clients
  • Experience necessary with Adobe Premiere & other non-linear editing software
  • Research all media according to SOP setup by Media Services using the NFL Films libraries
  • Maintain an existing relationship with Licensing to ensure client satisfaction
  • Track all billing & costs of work for accounting purposes & apply properly
  • Utilize Avid editing software to “special roll” NFL Films cameras
  • Develop a deep knowledge of NFL file-based delivery systems such as Signiant Media Exchange or Signiant Media Shuttle
  • Deliver video assets to clients within set deadlines for production purposes
  • Develop knowledge of all resources available for research purposes
Required Qualifications
  • 1-3 years’ experience
  • College Degree Preferred in Media Production
  • Non-linear editing & research experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good NFL/Football Knowledge to work efficiently with archive
  • 1 year or more experience with non-linear editing
  • College Degree Preferred in Media Production
Other Key Attributes / Characteristics
  • Ability to work under pressure within deadlines
  • Adobe Premier & accelerated file transfer software knowledge a plus.
  • Knowledge of Basic Archive Research & Media Management
  • Understanding of deadlines set by programming schedules
Physical Demands
  • Pulling video tapes, at times a large amount, to prepare for tape ingest
Travel
  • No Travel is Required unless approved by Department Managers
Salary / Pay Range
  • $24-25/hour
