Training and Support Specialist – Central Billing Office

In this role, you will support the Central Billing Office, working closely with billing supervisors and specialists, practice managers and others to enhance performance improvement and provide continuing education to achieve organization goals. This position plays a key role in the efficient and effective financial operations of the hospital and helps make a life-changing difference.
Allow your outstanding communication skills and superior multi-tasking abilities shine as you take on this important role, which coordinates activities that provide training to new and existing employees, necessary to maintain quality operational and procedural standards. Using your well-rounded knowledge base in all areas of medical billing, you will serve as a valuable resource providing training and support on all aspects of professional billing and all insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid, workers compensation and commercial insurance carriers along with the regulations that govern them. Preferred Criteria:
- Two (2) years of experience in revenue cycle operations, including experience in communication, facilitation and training within a multi-specialty setting preferred.
- Working knowledge of EPIC
Required Criteria:
- Computer and systems competency in the following areas: working knowledge of health systems and interfaces, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint and electronic health records.
- Working knowledge of revenue cycle process; Patient registration, billing, payment posting, denial tracking/resolution, accounts receivable, local/state/federal regulations, Fair Debt and Collection Practice Act, medical terminology, and payer contract familiarity.
- Must have knowledge of strategic planning, team development, customer service, project management and adult learning principles and methodologies.
- Exceptional communication skills – verbal and written
- High School Diploma or GED
