What You'll Do:
As a Repair Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in the repair and assembly of parts and assemblies from industrial centrifuges. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance and Cleaning: Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all applicable QHSE rules and regulatory requirements.
- Precision Assembly and Fitting: Skillfully assemble and fit new and used centrifuge bowl assemblies to ensure optimal functionality.
- Inspection and Testing: Thoroughly inspect parts for safety-related damages using liquid penetration tests. You'll record inspection findings and measurements in detailed reports.
- Mechanical Expertise: Utilize hand tools and metalworking machines, such as milling machines and drill presses, to repair, modify, and manufacture parts. Your keen eye will identify damages and measure critical fits using precision measuring tools.
- Surface Finishing: Skillfully grind and polish parts to achieve required surface finish per drawing specifications. Document and measure surface finishes for quality assurance.
Your profile and qualifications:
What You'll Bring:
Basic Qualifications:
- You possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A high school degree or equivalent, along with the ability to read and interpret drawings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additionally, 3-5 years of work experience in industrial equipment maintenance or repair, especially with precision machinery like high-speed centrifuges, is advantageous.
- A completed 3 to 4-year formal apprenticeship as an Industrial Equipment Mechanic, Millwright, or related field is highly desired.
Technical Skills:
Experience operating manual machine tools, such as mills, drills, or lathes, is a plus.
Familiarity with the metric system, including metric measuring tools and reading metric drawings, is highly valued.
Attention to Detail:
Your meticulousness shines as you evaluate and identify part failures, such as corrosion, erosion, cavitation, or fatigue in stainless steel components
Self-Motivation and Adaptability:
You thrive with little direction, are eager to learn new skills, and readily adapt to changing work demands. Your dependable nature ensures smooth operations.
