Essential Functions:

• Follow a checklist of inspection procedures.
• Do routine maintenance, lubricating equipment and parts.
• Basic computer skills.
• Inspect brake systems, and other parts of vehicles
• Lifts and inspects brakes.
• Adjust and align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and attach system components.
• Inspect wheel seals, tires, brakes, and lights
• Raise trailers and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret diagnostic test results from diagnostic equipment such as check light.

Education/Experience/License/Certifications:

• Must possess a valid driver’s license CDL preferred
• Excellent reading and writing skills
• 1 year experience (preferred) as a Trailer Mechanic
• ASE Certification an asset
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds

Shift: 10 hrs.

Up to 12 hours of OT are applicable. Typically OT will vary between 1-10 hours per week.

This job would be great for people who have experience with diesel mechanic, welding, maintenance mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, equipment mechanic and trailer mechanic.
