Job Description

Sofo Foods is one of the largest family owned wholesale distributors of Italian and ethnic foods in the US. We are a 4th generation, family owned business operated by the Sofo Family. Currently we have 3 distribution centers, employing over 500 employees. We service restaurant customers in 22 plus states by providing exceptional quality and service. We are looking for an experienced Trailer Mechanic to join our team.

Shift Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily documentation of maintenance and repairs of equipment in the fleet.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance on trailers, repair equipment as needed to meet DOT regulations.
  • Provide routine and preventative maintenance inspections and repairs of trailers.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications For Success:

  • Ability to provide your own hand tools.
  • CDL A preferred but not required.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repair of air and electrical systems.
  • Experience with general maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledgeable of computer related applications and software.
  • Efficient use of time management and ability to work without assistance.
  • Trailer Reefer repair experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to pass a background and drug test.
  • Experience repairing and maintaining trailers.
