We are seeking a Remote Sales Representative (internally referred to as our Commercial Insurance Sales Advisor) who will be highly motivated and self-driven to join our Commercial Insurance (CI) Scholars team for International Education. This is an exciting opportunity to develop innovative strategies to achieve insurance sale goals, as well as make meaningful connections with new and existing clients in the International Education sector. This position is being offered as Fully Remote or Hybrid depending on location and be within the following states: AR, CT, DC, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MI, MD, NJ, OH, PA, TN, TX or VA.
Salary Range: $70k-$90K Base Salary + 40% New Business & 15% Renewals (No Cap), Full-time
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
- Willing to obtain a P&C and L&H within 90 days of hire
- 2+ years experience selling any type of business-to-business product
- Ability to internationally travel 25% - 30% each year to developing countries
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Find opportunities, build relationships, solve problems, and drive revenue growth
- Understand, identify, and promote levels of differentiation that drive home the Clements Worldwide value proposition for each partnership, know how to sell the values of the business with our clients
- Maintain clean records of any prospecting activity in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system HubSpot and/or Applied EPIC
- Responsible for being financially motivated, and competitive in prospecting affinity style or Business to Business to Consumer (B2B2C) type partnerships
- Maintain your Property and Casualty (P&C) and Life & Health (L&H) licenses in at least one state, if hired with just one of these licenses you will be required to obtain the other license within 90 days (more states may be required depending on compliance regulations)
- Travel to third world countries, non-developed countries, non-conflict and conflict-based areas, normal international travel will be around 25% to 30% of your time each year, helping K12, colleges and universities with P&C and L&H insurance coverages around the world
- Other duties and responsibilities maybe assigned depending on department need and growth
- Develop a comprehensive prospecting plan, including targets and methodology, build prospective partner pipeline
- Maintain all project management (new insurance account implementation) and relationship development skills, progress in a partnership from concept to launch, as well as post-launch management
- Establish a network and leverage resources to develop new partnerships; think strategically, drive cross-sell, and be an advocate for the business
- Report to the Sales Manager on our Commercial Insurance(CI) Scholars team
- Collaborate with the account management team to ensure to strengthen service levels and maximize results
- Sell new insurance business to all international schools in your assigned territory such as, Health, Life, Long Term Disability (LTD), Property, Employee Benefits, General Liability, Auto, Kidnap, Ransom and Extortion (KR&E), Director and Officers (D&O), Group Travel, and other insurance policies
- Build relationships with current customers to identify unmet needs and cross-sell additional solutions
- Follow established protocols and policies established by your department, Human Resources or any department in which guidelines must be met
