Title: REMOTE - Research Analyst, Child & Family Development

Position Type: Full-time

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary:$83,000 ~ $93,000 (based on experience)

Summary

We are seeking a full-time research analyst to join our Child and Family Development practice area and support our research and evaluation projects. The ideal candidate has substantial experience with quantitative research methods and advanced statistics, is highly organized and detail oriented, can support the development of written products, and is able to communicate effectively with diverse partners. We are seeking an individual who is proactive, able to problem solve, has experience working with child and family programs, confident working independently as well as collaboratively with team members, and interested in professional growth.


Responsibilities

  • Apply rigorous analytic thinking to the collection and interpretation of quantitative data
  • Prepare statistical tables and graphics
  • Clean and restructure data, create performance and outcome measures and perform descriptive and multivariate analyses using statistical analysis packages
  • Contribute to business development activities, including responding to requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Assist in the design and implementation of research studies
  • Occasional travel for meetings and conferences
  • Contribute to the development of reports, briefs, presentations and journal manuscripts
  • Create codebooks and write technical memos that document data processing decisions and summarize the quality of data


Required Qualifications

  • Skilled in the use of statistical analysis packages (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS, Stata, Python)
  • Skilled in the use of survey software (e.g., Qualtrics)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including technical documentation and report writing
  • Ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with others, including working effectively as part of a team
  • Master’s degree in statistics, public health, economics, sociology, psychology, mathematics, data science, informatics or related field
  • Experience working with survey and administrative data sets
  • Knowledge of case management systems and data file construction
  • Flexibility to work independently, multitask effectively and produce high-quality work under time constraints
  • Skilled in multi-site data collection and management
  • Knowledge of quantitative research methods and advanced statistics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in survey research methodology
  • Advanced Excel programming (e.g., VBA code)
  • Knowledge of data security best practices and data use agreements
  • Skilled in data visualization and data presentation techniques (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, ArcGIS)
