Relationship Banker
General Summary:
The branch-based Relationship Banker, internally known as a Relationship Consultant (RC), is able to meet all member needs within a branch. The RC will perform a variety of duties, guiding members through the full-range of their requests, from basic teller transactions, to complex credit requests. The RC will partner with other branch staff to easily transition between responsibilities, depending on branch traffic flow and member needs. The Relationship Consultant will utilize a consultative philosophy to build relationships with members, and recommend financial solutions based on each member’s unique financial needs. The RC will support a member-centric experience in the branch, focused on Improving the Quality of Members’ Financial Lives.
Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
  • Resolves most member issues with minimal guidance.
  • Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Identifies the borrowing needs of members, originates loan applications, analyzes credit data and facilitates loan closings.
  • Immediately greets members, inquiring on their needs and guiding them to the appropriate teammate for assistance.
  • Assists members with all types of teller transactions: deposits, withdrawals, payments, etc.
  • Builds long-term relationships with members focused on providing excellent member service and recommending solutions to their growing financial needs.
  • Moves quickly and competently between responsibilities to ensure member needs are being met.
  • Acts as a technology coach for members, assisting them with Online and Mobile platforms.
  • Utilizes a consultative approach to open new accounts, maintain current accounts, and recommend additional products and services.
  • Must be able to speak and understand fluent English.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Must understand and comply with all required federal and state regulations associated with this position.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree preferred. Two years of experience in retail activities in a sales and/or service capacity. Must be a personable multi-tasker with strong time-management and organizational skills. Must demonstrate a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times.
