Job Description

This position supports general day to day administrative and office duties including patient appointment scheduling, client check in/out, collecting insurance co-pays, receiving and making phone calls, obtaining insurance authorizations, filing and scanning.

  • Support PT and OT clinical staff in the delivery of patient care as indicated..
  • Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for treatments.
  • Clean, organize and maintain equipment for patient care.
  • Maintain the physical environment of the facility.

Essential Functions:

  • Greet patients in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
  • Performs functions required for prior authorization, eligibility, and verification of insurances
  • Maintain an understanding and cross trained proficiency to assist the general operations of the medical office including rooming, scheduling, check out procedures and collections
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • At least one-year of orthopedic related work.
  • Experience in applying, modifying, and remove upper and lower extremity casts.


Physical Demands:

  • Requires normal (corrected) vision.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to converse and hear.
  • Requires mobility, frequent walking, standing, and sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching and periodic lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment


Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., but may vary depend on Company Schedule.
