Job Description
Job Summary: The Registrar is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the overall administration of the Registrar's Office. Essential Functions: Administration

  • Counsels students regarding transfers of credit and advanced standing 5% Graduations
  • Serves as MIS Data contact for the college
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft purchasing and employment
  • Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs
  • Proficient with a variety of software (Microsoft Office Prd.) to produce documents, spreadsheets, reports, and communicate using TEAMs Supervisory Responsibility Has oversight over all positions within the department. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment, routinely uses standard office equipment and technologies, and requires business attire and professionalism. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. This position occasionally requires longer hours and some weekend work. Travel Travel to other campus locations is required. Some overnight travel may be required.   • Monitors the enrollment and degree reports for National Student Clearinghouse 15% Evaluation of Transcripts/HOPE Evaluations
  • Serves as the transient and special admit advisor
  • Participates in the Strategic Planning for the college and lead the implementation of the strategic process for the department
  • Other duties as assigned. 5% Competencies:

  • Establishes procedures with accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 and all other federal regulations regarding student records;
  • Knowledge of relevant college, state and federal policies
  • Master's degree preferred

  • Maintain up-to-date policies, procedures, and state or federal laws that may impact department initiatives; and 10% Enrollment of Reporting Deadlines
  • Evaluates employees at scheduled intervals upon reviewing of all relevant information;
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field *and* Three (3) years of experience in student affairs Preferred Qualifications: (In addition to the minimum qualifications)
  • Compiles enrollment reports annually, by semester; review for errors and facilitate correction of errors blocking enrollment
  • Plans and oversees registration
  • Knowledge of student information system operation
  • Assists with the design and execution of special events, projects and activities as requested;
  • Three years of experience in the Registrar's Office or as a Registrar
  • Oversees the HOPE scholarship evaluation of transcripts
  • Proficient in Banner or another student database system used in Higher education
