Cherry Hospital is an accredited state psychiatric hospital in eastern North Carolina. We are currently seeking permanent part-time registered nurses. The Part-time RN positions will act as floaters between units providing coverage where needed. The units included are: Geriatric Admissions, Medical Psychiatric Unit, Adolescent Unit, Independent Transition, Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and Adult Acute Admissions units.

There are four (4) available half-time positions.

These positions supervise licensed practical nurses as well as health care technicians to ensure safe and quality care delivery. The primary focus of this position includes but is not limited to providing active programming and ensuring safety of our patients, which is driven by individual patients’ treatment plans. Registered Nurses work with an interdisciplinary team of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Rehabilitation Staff and Health Care Technicians to plan, development and implement individualized treatment plans to assist patients in meeting their goals. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for medication administration, assessment, ensuring the safety of our patients, therapeutic engagement, and many more rewarding opportunities.
