The Procedural Nurse provides care to patients who undergo procedures. The nursing staff is often required to assist physicians during examinations and procedures. The nurse's first and foremost responsibility is managing patient care prior to, during, and after procedures. The nurse must demonstrate proficiency in managing multiple patients at one time. Candidates with recent telemetry experience will be considered. Recent critical care experience is preferred. The nurse is part of team which works in the procedural environment. They monitor, sedate, and assess patients during diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. Teamwork is a must in this collaborative environment.

Job Duties

• Circulates and assists
• Orchestrates patient discharge
• Sedates and monitors patients
• Provide Patient & family education regarding pre, intra and post procedure
• Administers medications as ordered by the physician
• Establish and maintain patient IV access
• Responds to contrast reactions
• Makes recommendations to the referring physician, the patient, and family, under the guidance of the physician
• Performs the proper handling of patient tissue samples
• Pre-Op patients for procedure, including starting IV lines and administering medications
• Prepares patients in procedural suite

Equipment Duties

The nurse will demonstrate their knowledge of all business/medical equipment functionality and report problems when identified. They must have an above average ability to use phone, fax, EMR and all monitoring devices.

As a child behavior specialist, you will implement individualized behavioral therapy programs utilizing ABA intervention strategies to increase social-communicative behaviors and daily living skills, while decreasing disruptive and/or aggressive behaviors. You will observe client skills and collect data to be used in assessing the individual's skills and to develop their program goals. You will also provide coaching, training, and support to parents and/or care givers in behavior management strategies to increase generalization of individual's skill sets.
The selected candidate will have at least a high school diploma and previous experience working with children. Must possess a current registered behavior technician credential in good standing; or complete a 40-hour class, competency assessment, and exam to become a registered behavior technician within 6 months of hire (IH provides training compensation during this time). Bachelor's degree in Behavioral science is preferred; specific experience with children who have Autism, intellectual or developmental disabilities, or ABA experience, is a plus! Must have afternoon availability until 6 P.M.
PT Specialists are compensated for direct and indirect services provided, entry level pay starts at $17 for direct care and increases based on experience and certification; and ABA-specific education, up to $23 for direct care. Indirect care pay range is between $12 and $15 based on experience and certification.
