Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (NICU RN) to join our dynamic team and provide exceptional care for our neonatal patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As a NICU RN, you will be responsible for monitoring and caring for premature or critically ill newborns, providing specialized nursing interventions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. Your expertise and compassion will be crucial in the delivery of high-quality care and support to these fragile infants and their families.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Respond effectively to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
• Educate parents and families on the care and special needs of their newborn, including proper feeding techniques and medications
• Provide specialized nursing care to premature babies, infants with respiratory distress, congenital abnormalities, or other critical conditions
• Monitor and document vital signs, administer medications, and operate medical equipment
• Continuously update knowledge and skills through attending relevant seminars, workshops, and courses
• Collaborate with the medical team to develop and implement treatment plans, including administering medications, therapies, and interventions
• Assess newborns upon admission, evaluate their needs, and develop personalized care plans
• Maintain accurate records of patients' medical histories, symptoms, and progress
• Ensure the safety and comfort of newborns, ensuring a clean and sterile environment
• Assist in the coordination of patient transfers, admissions, and discharges

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Knowledge of neonatal diseases, treatment procedures, and equipment
• Proven experience in a NICU or related healthcare setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
