Position Description
The Regional Director’s regular responsibilities are as follows:
- Find ways to leverage federal resources to fix problems and improve the lives of constituents from the communities within his or her jurisdiction;
- Serve as a liaison for the Congress member to a wide variety of stakeholder groups, including constituents, civic leaders, businesses, and elected officials;
- Keep consistently attuned to the needs of the communities within his or her jurisdiction;
- Serve as a conduit between the community and Congress;
- Prepare briefs for the Congress member on events and high priority issues;
- Organize and staff events and meetings with the Congress member; and
- Perform other duties as assigned by the District Director.
Skills and knowledge required:
- Current or prior resident of MA06 (preferred);
- Prior experience with defense and/or high-tech employers preferred;
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred;
- Superior organizational skills.
- Strong writing and proofreading skills;
- Temperament to communicate with a variety of personalities in a tactful, pleasant, and professional manner;
- Enthusiasm for working a flexible schedule including occasional long hours, nights, and weekends;

Compensation
The pay range is $60,000-$70,000 per year, along with a competitive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance; federal student loan repayment (terms apply); transit or parking benefits; and partial remote work flexibilities.

Employment may be contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a criminal history records check. Employment with the U.S. House of Representatives is at-will. A qualified applicant must meet one of the following residency requirements within the continental United States for eligibility for a paid position with the U.S. House of Representatives:
- Be (i) admitted as a refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157 or granted asylum under 8 U.S.C. § 1158 and (ii) have filed a declaration of intention to become a lawful permanent resident and then a citizen when eligible
- Be lawfully admitted for permanent residence and seeking citizenship as outlined in 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3)(B)
- Owe allegiance to the U.S. (i.e., qualify as a non-citizen U.S. national under federal law)
- Be a U.S. citizen
