Refinery Technician - $25.30/Hr

The Refinery Technician is trained to produce refined and bleached soybean oil from crude soybean oil within required product specifications.

Work four 12 hour shifts then take four days off. (Rotating between day shift and night shift is required)

Starting pay is $25.30/ hour (plus shift differential). SDSP offers a robust benefits package, profit sharing and other perks!

• Complete the necessary paperwork required in the record keeping of the refining process.
• Complete accurate documentation required in the record keeping of production.
• Communicate any process problems that may occur to the fellow refinery operators and participate in resolving these problems.
• All personnel will perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities at times.
• Comply with SDSP’s food safety program and polices
• Perform all duties as required to operate the refining process in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain designated sanitary schedule to SDSP standards.

• Occasionally exposed to marked changes in temperature; exposed to dust, fumes, and gases; and work in confined quarters.
• Work on or around high structures
• Ability to frequently carry/lift light loads of up to 25 lbs. and occasionally carry/lift loads over 50 lbs.
• Ability to frequently climb, stand, and walk and occasionally bend, squat, crawl, kneel, sit, push/pull, reach above shoulder level
